On 28 September 2026, the MPAS project organised a Facebook Live discussion bringing together three artists and facilitators who had participated in the project’s training activities: Azin from Italy, Pablo from Spain and Christos from Greece. The discussion explored their experiences with the MPAS methodology, the knowledge and skills they had acquired, and how they subsequently applied these approaches in their own artistic workshops.
Azin described how the training inspired her to develop painting workshops focusing on creativity, playfulness and authentic self-expression. Pablo explained how he combined movement, storytelling and the Hero’s Journey, adapting activities to the needs and responses of participants. Christos shared his experience of facilitating four workshops in Greece, particularly highlighting the strong sense of connection developed during a workshop involving participants from different cultural and migration backgrounds.
All three speakers emphasised the importance of creating safe and accepting environments, encouraging emotional expression and strengthening social connection and belonging. The discussion also highlighted the need for flexibility when facilitating emotionally sensitive activities. Overall, the event provided valuable qualitative evidence of the methodology’s transferability and the motivation of trained artists to continue applying MPAS beyond the project.
